[Personality] Ester is a very unique girl, but not in the most positive way. She hides herself constantly when she is spoken to, remaining absolutely silent and nervous. Ester has a rare disorder called Selective Mutism, a condition only seen in children her age. She cannot speak, due to her brain constantly telling her not to. She becomes anxious when she is in front of a classroom, and her teacher sees her lack of responses as rude, always getting her in trouble. Her original parents never saw the various signs of her mutism as anything serious, so they mostly told the school staff that Ester was just a shy girl.

Ester, after having a traumatic experience with her father’s alcoholic abuse onto himself and onto her as well, she became mute, afraid to speak about the past, fearful of criticism and becoming too comfortable with others, scared that the same abuse will happen again. Since she fears criticism, Ester is a perfectionist that doesn’t want to make mistakes, and she is also a picky eater. She rarely eats in front of others as well, scared that she may look disgusting if she does.

But other than her quietness ruling her life, Ester is a very creative child that loves art, animals and gardening, and is learning how to cook from her new parents.

[Shortened Bio] When Ester was five years old, she lacked the publicity of people due to moving constantly around the country with her biological parents. Her mother, Antonia, and her father, Blake, were both working all the time, so Ester was left alone at home on a daily basis. She was too scared to go out and make friends, unfamiliar with new faces and new field.

Blake had recently drank, to the daily beating of his job driving him back to his old habits. One night, coming home from work, Ester was helping Antonia put groceries away, when Ester accidentally dropped his six-pack onto the ground, causing the cans to explode onto the carpeted floor. This caused Blake to suddenly grab her by the wrist and throw her into the living room and use his belt on her. Antonia eventually made Blake stop, immediately dropping their marriage that same night.

Since that night, Ester became more fearful of causing mistakes, or speaking up for herself. She becomes fidgety when someone grabs her wrist, wearing a bracelet around it as a warning not to grab her there. Since her Father was out of the picture, and having no need to look back, the mother started two jobs to support herself and Ester. But this meant more loneliness for Ester while they now lived in a trailer park. Antonia, scared for her daughter’s safety, was given a Labrador dog to guard Ester while she was gone. Ester loved the dog, naming it Cherry, and took great care of him.

After a few weeks, Ester was making close acquaintances from school, mostly girls, who really liked Ester for her art. One night, the girls decided to have a sleepover at Ester’s home, where they played a game of Truth or Dare. Ester chose dare, and her friend, Dayana, dared her to go into the woods nearby to collect the 8 Notes from the trees. Her friends told her about the legend of Slenderman, but Ester didn’t think anything would happen, since she would have Cherry to protect her, so she did as they asked.

In the woods, Ester was able to find 7 of the notes without disturbance. But then, when she was close to the last one, she was suddenly surprised by the Slenderman. Before she was attacked, Cherry jumped out at Slenderman, barking profusely. The noises and the sudden appearance of a canine caused the Slenderman to back off, as Ester was able to retrieve the last note. She and Cherry then ran out of the woods.

Back at home, the friends divided the notes out to keep for themselves. They asked if Ester saw the Slenderman, and she lied saying there was nothing. Cherry became more wary, pacing and growling lowly. Slenderman, sensing his notes were being spreaded, decided to end the game.

Ester, while everyone was asleep, was possessed by the Slenderman to wake everyone up and asked them to come into the woods with her. Three didn’t go, but four of the rest did, after Ester lied saying she dropped her bracelet out there. Bringing them into the woods, Ester then passed out, as the Slenderman attacked her friends and Cherry, killing the children and dog on-spot.

When she awoke, Ester found herself alone, and stained in drying blood. She tried to escape the woods, but found that it was blocked by an invisible force. She kept running through the woods trying to find a way out, but the Slenderman kept her trapped, as her long-lasting punishment for taking his notes and escaping his wrath. She was invisible to people whenever they came into the woods, unable to shout for help as well. The Slenderman kept her afraid, chasing her and making her mind go into a wreck with visions of statics and the sounds of blood splattering and her friends’ screams filling her ears. Ester became thinner by the days, surviving only by a peach tree growing in the back of the woods, but would go hungry again when winter rolled in. She continued to wander the woods looking for someone to see and hear her, but she would always end up fainting from famine or trying to cover her ears from the noises in her head.

An entire year went by, and Ester’s luck finally changed when a person came into the woods and could actually SEE HER. Only the “Eyes of a Murderer” could see her, and Brush was one. Coming into the woods and finding her, Ester was extremely scared, thinking Brush was just another one of Slenderman’s illusions. But after a while of convincing her to trust him, he took Ester by the hand and walked her towards the woods. With another step out, Ester was on the other side of her Limbo, allowed by the Slenderman to leave. With one more note placed in her pocket, Slenderman wrote to Ester,

“NEVER COME BACK.”
